If you are looking to improve your language skills such as English and Spanish, the Aprenda Mais platform from the Ministry of Education (MEC) might be the ideal solution. Registrations are open until December 31, and the courses can be completed by January 31, 2025.
English Courses
The English courses are divided into different levels, each addressing specific themes and content. For example, the “English 1” course is aimed at those who are just starting to learn, teaching how to introduce oneself, as well as working with concepts of location in time and space.
Meanwhile, the “English 13” is a more advanced option, covering vocabulary related to the musical universe, television media, and healthy habits. This course also covers more complex grammatical structures, such as conditionals and the use of the modal verbs “would” and “could.”

Spanish Courses
Just like the English courses, the Spanish courses are also divided by levels, ranging from 1 to 10, and are similarly detailed and organized. The “Spanish 1” course focuses on simpler aspects of the language, such as greetings, farewells, the alphabet and personal pronouns. It is ideal for those who are just starting and want a solid foundation in the language.
On the other hand, the “Spanish 10” covers more complex themes, teaching how to ask for information, the use of the pronoun “lo,” as well as adjectives and degree comparisons. There is also a course called “Spanish for Events,” which prepares the student for everyday situations related to events, as well as providing an insight into proper behavior in public places, the human body, and other practical situations.
