The certification is issued by the tool itself, upon meeting performance requirements and completing the course within the established timeframe.
All activities are conducted online, without the need for in-person classes, which facilitates access for people in different regions of the country.
Target Audience and Accessibility
The platform is aimed at the entire population, with no requirement for prior education in specific areas.
This opens opportunities for both high school and college students, as well as professionals already working in the market seeking updates.
Additionally, the initiative caters to workers who wish to reposition themselves in new careers or enter sectors that require specific knowledge.
According to MEC, the initiative also strengthens the strategy of expanding distance education in Brazil, focusing on democratizing access to knowledge.
Structure of the Aprenda Mais Platform
The virtual environment has been designed to offer online, open, and massive (Mooc) courses in partnership with the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific, and Technological Education.
The content is developed by specialists from different federal institutes and adjusted to ensure accessible language, up-to-date information, and practical applicability.
In March 2024, the Ordinance No. 7 defined a new composition of the Management Committee of Aprenda Mais.
This committee is responsible for the management, monitoring, and evaluation of the platform’s operation, ensuring that the courses meet quality standards.
Institutional Partnerships
The Secretariat for Professional and Technological Education (Setec/MEC) is responsible for managing Aprenda Mais.
The initiative is the result of a partnership between the Ministry of Education, the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), and the National Education and Research Network (RNP).
This cooperation ensures technological infrastructure for the virtual environment, as well as academic and operational support for developing the training.
How to Register
Registering is simple: just create an account on the Aprenda Mais platform and choose the available courses.
Since its launch, the platform has surpassed 1.6 thousand enrollments. This number is expected to grow with the expansion of offerings, as the courses cover high-demand topics and can be taken for free and flexibly.
For the MEC, the expansion of Aprenda Mais represents progress in the effort to offer training alternatives on a national scale, especially for those who do not have easy access to in-person institutions.
By bringing together short-term courses in various fields, the platform caters both to those seeking quick learning and those wishing to accumulate certifications and build a continuous qualification pathway.
