Enrollment for the Free MEC Course Is Open! Education Professionals from All Over Brazil Can Sign Up.
This Monday, (06/05), the Ministry of Education (MEC), through the Basic Education Secretariat (SEB), is launching an initiative to enhance the training of professionals working in Early Childhood Education. This is a free online course aimed at this audience, designed to deepen the knowledge necessary to address the specific demands of this crucial stage of education.
What Will You See in the Free Education Course?
With a total workload of 200 hours, the free MEC course is divided into six comprehensive modules, each focused on fundamental aspects of child development and effective pedagogical practices.
Among the topics covered are children’s socio-emotional development, the pillars of education, crucial aspects of language and communication, educational games and play, as well as the role of child protagonism in the educational context.

How Will the Assessments Be?
The assessment of the modules will be done through consolidation activities, and participants must complete all activities, in addition to the Evaluative Module, to pass the free MEC course.
The minimum required grade is 6 points.
Certificate Recognized by MEC
To ensure the quality and proper utilization of this free course, a minimum period of 30 days for completion is established.
Only after this period and the completion of all modules and activities will the completion certificate be made available.
Participants will be able to access the certificate through the “Certificate” option in the course menu.

Professionals connected to both Early Childhood Education and the early years of Elementary Education are invited to participate in this initiative.
