Enhancing Literature in the Classroom Using the Canva Platform
The course Enhancing Literature in the Classroom Using the Canva Platform is a clear example of how the MEC is bringing innovation to the educational context.
It aims to train Basic Education teachers in the use of Canva, a graphic design tool that allows for the creation of attractive and dynamic visual materials.
With a duration of 20 hours, distributed over four modules, the course presents content aligned with the National Common Curriculum Base (BNCC), especially in the Digital Culture axis.
During the classes, participants learn to:
- Identify relevant digital devices and tools for pedagogical practice;
- Create visual content such as book covers and audiovisual narratives;
- Explore integrated artificial intelligence resources within Canva to develop creative projects;
- Apply innovative methodologies that combine children’s literature and technological resources.
The program goes beyond the simple use of digital tools, promoting reflections on how to integrate design and literature to enhance student engagement.
In this way, teachers expand their didactic repertoire and become capable of transforming their classes into more visual and interactive experiences.

The School in Digital Culture
Digital culture is transforming how students learn and interact with the world, and the MEC recognizes the need to prepare educators for this new reality.
With this in mind, the course The School in Digital Culture was created, bringing reflections and practices aimed at the conscious use of technologies in the educational context.
The course is divided into five modules that cover everything from theoretical concepts about digital culture to practical proposals for pedagogical use of resources such as videos, podcasts, social networks, and comics.
Furthermore, participants have access to episodes of the series “Digitally,” which tackle current topics related to the digital universe, and to a Project Lab, where they can develop applicable actions for the school environment.
The proposal is for the educator to leave the course not only with new tools but also with a critical vision of how to use technology to promote a more inclusive, participatory, and innovative education.
