The Technology Sector in Brazil Expects the Creation of 797 Thousand Jobs by 2025, with Salaries Almost 3 Times Above the National Average.
The future of the technology market in Brazil is promising, with an estimated generation of 797 thousand new job vacancies by 2025. This forecast, released by Brasscom, the Association of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Digital Technologies Companies, highlights the increasing demand for skilled professionals in the sector.
During a meeting with the Secretary of Science and Technology for Social Development of MCTI, Inácio Arruda, the need for dialogue between the public and private sectors to establish projects and actions aimed at professional training in ICT was reinforced. Brasscom’s Director of Institutional and Government Relations, Sergio Sgobbi, revealed that the technology sector generates, on average, 150 thousand jobs per year in Brazil. Furthermore, the remuneration of ICT professionals is 2.9 times higher than the average of workers in other sectors.
In light of this scenario, Brasscom initiated the “Talent Journey: Competitiveness of the Environment and Inclusion,” aiming to develop talents in ICT throughout Brazil, in partnership with the government, private sector, and third sector. MCTI, in turn, will launch the Conecta e Capacita Program, focused on digital training and expanding network infrastructure.
