The transformer was developed to meet a project that is being carried out in Simões Filho (BA), by Power Engenharia. The transformer, model 5/6,25 MVA 69CST/13,8 kV, is among the main equipment that works with the use of vegetable oil developed by WEG.
In addition to contributing to the conservation of the environment, transformers that use vegetable oil have a longer useful life, compared to those that use diesel oil.
WEG continues to develop the transformer so that the equipment will be delivered later this month. After the delivery of the vegetable oil transformer, manufactured by WEG, the equipment will proceed for installation, which will be carried out at Bomix, a company in the injected and blown packaging segment.
WEG's participation in a sustainable project
A member of the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals), WEG participates in the project created by the UN (United Nations), which aims to create actions that generate less impact on the environment.
This project adopts 17 actions, which aim to achieve 197 goals that contribute to the improvement of natural resources.
