More than R$ 400 million will be invested in road infrastructure works and projects in the Central-West of Minas Gerais over the next five years, announced Mateus Simões this Saturday, in Divinópolis.

Investments target roads in the Central-West of Minas Gerais

The announcement took place after a meeting with mayors and deputies at the Service Square. The resources will come from the revenue obtained with the privatization of Copasa.

The forecast includes interventions between 2026 and 2030, with infrastructure works and projects organized by regional stages.

The schedule mentioned by the governor includes actions for 2026, 2027, and 2028, as well as projects that may be carried out in 2029 and 2030.

Works planned for 2026

For 2026, the start order for the revitalization of MG-423, between BR-262 and BR-352, is planned, with an investment of R$ 3 million.

The schedule includes the revitalization of MG-252, between Perdigão and the junction with BR-494, estimated at R$ 1 million.

On MG-170, between Arcos and BR-262, 20 kilometers will be recovered, with R$ 13 million. MG-2030, between Formiga and MG-050, will receive another R$ 1 million.

MG-260, between Cláudio and BR-494, will be revitalized. The intervention covers 15 kilometers, in a work exceeding R$ 5 million.

Also in 2026, the restoration of MG-170, between Arcos and Corumbá, is planned. The package includes asphalt connection projects between Bambuí and Luz, passing through Esteios.

Projects for paving between Pompéu and Silva Campos, over an 18-kilometer stretch, and the Bambuí bypass, with 3.5 kilometers, will also be contracted.

Schedule for 2027 foresees new fronts

For 2027, the government plans to start the work on MG-170, between BR-262 and Arcos. The investment will be R$ 53 million over 63 kilometers.

The first lot of MG-430, between Igaratinga and São Gonçalo do Pará, and the duplication of the Santana do Jacaré bridge are also planned.

The works for 2027 total R$ 180 million. With this, the projected volume for 2026 and 2027 reaches R$ 250 million.

Additionally, the State reserves R$ 150 million to set priorities when the projects are completed.
