Requirements for the Cargo Technician Position at MODEC
To apply for the position, candidates must have a Nautical Officer degree, along with previous experience in FPSO or tanker operations.
It is also essential to have experience in offshore loading and unloading activities, an important differential for the safe and efficient performance of functions onboard.
Other mandatory requirements include:
- STCW CoC Certification (II/1);
- Updated regulatory training, such as GMDSS and EBPQ;
- Fluent English, considering the international environment and the company’s standards.
Main Responsibilities of the Cargo Technician
The selected professional will be responsible for executing all loading operations at the facility safely, following the instructions of the Immediate Supervisor and the Loading Supervisor.
Among their duties is the control and maintenance of rescue equipment, ensuring they are always ready for use.
Additionally, the Cargo Technician must ensure that all naval operations are fully compliant with:
- Regulatory standards of the Navy;
- MODEC’s HSEQ-MS Policies and Procedures;
- ISM Code, Marpol, SOLAS, among other international guidelines.
