The electric vehicle industry is only growing, and Ola Electric brought to the market this time an electric scooter that costs less than R$ 10 with a range of 180 km.
Electric motorcycles have enormous potential to become more popular than electric cars due to their much lower production and maintenance costs. In India, the Ola S1 was recently launched, an electric scooter that has a range of 181 km and a top speed of 115 km/h. What makes it attractive to the market is its value, which only reaches R$ 9, a price much lower than several combustion motorcycles existing in Brazil.

Produced by Ola Electric, the S1 will have two versions, a cheaper one, which will hit the market for R$ 5.500, and has an electric motor of 8,5 kW and 5,9 kgf/m of torque that provides the vehicle with a maximum speed of 90 km/h and go from 0 to 60 km/h in just 7 seconds, with a range of 120 km.
The most expensive version will hit the market costing R$ 9.200 and will be equipped with the same engine, reaching 115 km/h and having a range of up to 180 km thanks to its 4 kWh battery.

In order to supply the S1, the company sends a 750 W portable charger, which can charge the bike completely in just 4,5 hours. In addition, the company has already committed to offering a more evolved and faster system that promises to supply 80% of the electric motorcycle's autonomy in just 18 minutes.
In addition, there is the promise of creating a recharge network for electric vehicles spread across the country's main cities, totaling more than 5 stations in 300 locations.
Electric scooter will have an octa-core processor and 7-inch multimedia center
In terms of design, the Ola S1 electric motorcycle stands out for its technologies and great equipment, which are present in models with higher prices.
The vehicle will have a set of LED lights, autopilot, 7-inch multimedia center, GPS navigation, remote controls via smartphone and many other equipment. All this interconnected by the Move OS operating system, which has a 1,8 Ghz octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM. The Ola S1 is up for pre-order in India and deliveries start in October. However, there is no forecast for the arrival of these models in Brazil or other countries, except via importation.
Honda also offers affordable electric motorcycle to the market
Honda had already launched the U-GO, an electric scooter that costs US$ 1.150 and that month it launched the U-BE, which hit the market with a more affordable price, costing only US$ 475, about R$ 2.572 in conversion direct.
The model, which is drawing the attention of consumers, can reach a top speed of 25 km/h. The scooter's rear-wheel drive motor is 350 W and it will have three versions with an autonomy of 55 km, the second with 70 km and the last and most powerful one will have an autonomy of 80 km on a single charge.
