New electric sports car goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds
With a new 90 kW motor, the F99 can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds, according to the Indian company. The new Indian electric motorcycle can also reach a top speed of 265 km/h, and weighs 178 kg, which is a considerably light weight for an electric motorcycle. The model is still a concept, so it is not yet for sale and may be used in competitions in the future.
The company is aiming to break records with the model, such as the fastest time in a quarter mile and the highest speed ever recorded by an Indian electric motorcycle. In terms of design, the look of the electric sports bike is futuristic, with full fairing and aggressive lines, including “wings”, which break up the well-known winglets of the MotoGP.

The design is also full of sharp creases that should help the Indian electric motorcycle cut through the wind more efficiently, as well as help channel cold air to cool the motor and battery pack. To control the Indian electric motorcycle, Ultraviolette equipped the F99 with an Ohlins suspension set and Brembo brakes. There is no price yet, nor the full detailed specifications of the model.
Other models of the Indian brand who also promise to dominate the market
A India is emerging as the second largest market for electric motorcycles, second only to China. As a result, new models are emerging every day in all segments, including the Ultraviolette F77, which was the country's first electric sports motorcycle.
The model was announced in 2022 and arrived at dealerships in 2023. The Indian electric motorcycle is sold in three variants, namely Airstrike, Shadow and Laser, each of which is offered in two versions F77 Standard and F77 Recon, in addition to a special edition limited to 77 units.
The Ultraviolette F77 has a sporty style and gets a full LED headlight unit and a triangular LED taillight. The styling also features wider tires, a more dynamic look, a sculpted fuel tank, seat, rear guard and low handlebars. In terms of performance, its predecessor has a power output of 300cc.
The standard bike is equipped with a 7,1 kWh battery and a 27 kW electric motor (equivalent to 37 hp). The F77's battery takes between 7-10 hours to recharge with a standard charger. However, with the company's 3 kW Boost charger, this time is reduced to 3,5 hours.
And for the Brazilian market?
Although there is no confirmation of Ultraviolette's arrival in the Brazilian market, it is worth noting that several Indian automakers are landing here. Thus, the motorcycle market in Brazil is expanding rapidly and will soon have a new factory in the electric motorcycle and scooter segment.
A MotoCorp Hero, one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers in the world in terms of number of units sold, is about to enter the market. With its arrival, the brand promises to intensify competition with giants such as Honda and Yamaha, bringing innovation and new options to Brazilian consumers.
