The Citroën SUV is currently the cheapest SUV in the country, costing R$ 91,990 under the brand’s direct sales scheme for individuals. At launch, the model was priced at R$ 89,990. According to the manufacturer, the entry-level Citroën Basalt SUV, called Feel MT, is the choice of 12% of customers.
The main difference of this configuration compared to the Feel Turbo is the mechanical set. This Citroën Basalt 1.0 comes with a naturally aspirated flex Firefly engine, with three inline cylinders and six valves, delivering 71 hp of power and 10 kgfm of torque with gasoline, and 75 hp of power and 10.7 kgfm of torque with ethanol.

Consumption Of The Cheapest SUV In Brazil
According to Inmetro, the Citroën Basalt 1.0 Feel MT, already adapted to Proconve L8, delivers 13.2 km/l in the city and 14.3 km/l on the road when fueled with gasoline. When fueled with ethanol, the averages drop to 9.2 km/l and 10.1 km/l, respectively. The fuel tank of the Citroën SUV has a capacity of 47 liters.
In tests conducted by Autoesporte, with gasoline in the tank, the numbers obtained for road consumption are 10.8 km/l in the city and 16.3 km/l on the road. Thus, the Citroën Basalt 1.0 flex aspirated SUV is indeed an economical model. In the test from 80 km/h to 120 km/h, in fifth gear, the Citroën SUV took a long 27.2 seconds.
As a reference, the turbo version was 20 seconds faster, completing the same test in 7.1 seconds. The 0 to 100 km/h test took a long 16.9 seconds, making the Basalt Feel 1.0 Manual the currently slowest new car available in Brazil, which can be attributed to its weight and more accessible price.
A Spacious Car For The Family

The trunk is great for the segment, with 490 liters. The rear window is a good size and is integrated into the lid, adding an “extra charm” to the model.
