Mitsubishi is about to revolutionize the Brazilian pickup market with the launch of the new generation L200 Triton 2025. Manufactured at the factory in Catalão, Goiás, the new L200 Triton promises to leave behind veterans like Toyota Hilux, Chevrolet S10, Ford Ranger, and the recent Fiat Titano. The announcement indicates that the pickup will have an innovative design and a series of technological enhancements, according to the video from the Edilson Santos Br channel.

Design and Style: Mitsubishi L200 is the New Attractive Option in the Market

The new L200 Triton has already had its industrial design registered with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI). The pickup showcases a taller front grille, divided into three sections, with “C”-shaped contours at headlight height and a set of LED daytime running lights. The rear has also undergone a significant redesign, maintaining the model’s characteristic ruggedness, but with reimagined taillights.

Inside, the L200 Triton features a renovated instrument panel, with a larger screen and state-of-the-art multimedia center. Among the driver assistance technologies, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot sensor, automatic emergency braking, and rear cross-traffic alert stand out. The safety of the occupants is enhanced by the presence of seven airbags.

Dimensions and Practicality: Bigger and More Functional

The new L200 Triton has grown in dimensions, offering more space and practicality. Now, the pickup measures 5.36 meters in length, 1.93 meters in width, 1.81 meters in height, and has a wheelbase of 3.13 meters. The cargo bed has been updated and is 45 millimeters lower, making loading and unloading easier.

From a mechanical standpoint, the new L200 Triton will maintain the 2.4 turbo diesel engine, tuned for the Brazilian market. Power ranges from 149 hp to 214 hp, with torque from 33.6 mkgf to 47.9 mkgf. The transmission can be manual or automatic, both with six gears, and the drivetrain is 4×4 with low range, ensuring exceptional performance on various types of terrain.
