The 250W Version Of The Electric Bike Has A 48V/1kWh Battery, Providing An Incredible Range Of Up To 320 Km.
The field of electric bikes, or e-bikes, is rapidly growing, driven by public demand for eco-friendly transportation. While many e-bikes maintain a sober look, there are some companies that choose to take a bolder approach, introducing innovative and futuristic designs. Today, we will talk about one of these bold electric vehicles, the new Cyber e-bike, a robust beast on two wheels produced by the British startup WAU.
Meet The Cyber E-Bike
The daring design of the Cyber electric bike significantly distances itself from traditional bicycles, resembling more of a trail bike. It also brings to mind the famous Tesla Cybertruck, giving it a hint of cyberpunk identity.
- Varied Configurations For Different Markets
This sturdy e-bike will be available in three different configurations to comply with local traffic laws in each country.

Man spends 20,000 hours and 7 years building a functional wooden supercar with a Cadillac V8 engine, 20 types of wood, and a reported top speed of 320 km/h.
For the European market, where regulations are stricter, the bike will be equipped with a 250-watt Bafang mid-drive motor, reaching speeds of up to 25 km/h. In the United States, the power increases to 750 watts, with a top speed of 45 km/h. Both models feature high-capacity batteries made by Samsung.

- Impressive Range
The 250W version of the Cyber electric bike has a 48V/1kWh battery, providing an incredible range of up to 320 km. The 750W version has a 52V/1kWh battery, offering nearly 260 km of range, slightly less due to the higher maximum speed capability.
- Ready For Adventures
For adventurers, there is the Cyber 5000. This model, the most powerful of the group, comes with a 5,000-watt mid-drive motor and can reach speeds of nearly 90 km/h. It also features full suspension, smaller wheels, and a gigantic 2.8 kWh 60-volt battery, capable of covering nearly 100 km per charge, even at high speeds.
All versions of the Cyber electric bike are equipped with a Shimano 10-speed transmission and four-piston hydraulic disc brakes. They also come with a color LCD display and integrated RGB lighting. Check out the video:
Price And Availability Of The Cyber Electric Bike
WAU launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds and increase production of the Cyber electric bike. The first 25 units are already available for order on Indiegogo for US$ 2,999, equivalent to approximately R$ 14,200.
The growth of the electric bike market marks an important moment in the pursuit of more sustainable transportation. With innovative initiatives like the “Cyber,” the future of green transportation looks promising. Series production and deliveries of the first WAU Cyber units are scheduled for 2024.
