New Pickup Line Made in São Caetano do Sul (SP) Bets on Onboard Technology, Mechanical Improvements, and Functional Items to Attract New Buyers
The Chevrolet Montana 2026 arrives on the market with important updates in the interior and equipment list. The pickup, produced in São Caetano do Sul (SP), now features a digital dashboard, new versions with more standard items, and a rear hitch capable of towing up to 400 kg.
The model did not receive significant visual changes, but adopts the same virtual cockpit already present in other GM vehicles. Combining technology, performance, and functionality, the updated Montana targets an audience seeking versatility without sacrificing connectivity.
Virtual Cockpit and Multimedia Center with Wi-Fi Stand Out

The main change in the Chevrolet Montana 2026 is in the interior. All versions of the pickup now feature an 8-inch digital instrument panel and MyLink multimedia central with an 11″ screen, wireless mirroring for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and native Wi-Fi. The system also offers a high-resolution rearview camera and support for the OnStar service, with tracking and remote security activation.

1.2 Turbo Flex Engine with 141 hp Improves Performance and Consumption

The Chevrolet Montana 2026 retains the 1.2 turbo flex three-cylinder engine with direct injection and oil-bathed timing belt, the same as the Tracker SUV. It delivers up to 141 hp and 22.9 kgfm, with improvements in fuel consumption and performance. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is now achieved in 9.5 seconds in the automatic versions.
According to Inmetro, the model consumes 8.4 km/l in the city and 9.7 km/l on the highway with ethanol, and 12.3 km/l and 13.7 km/l with gasoline, depending on the version. The versions with a 6-speed manual transmission maintain the best energy efficiency rating in the lineup.
Better Equipped Versions and Updated Prices Across the Line
The 2026 lineup is available in five versions with improvements in standard equipment. The entry-level configuration now includes electric mirrors, rear defroster, grab handle, and dual lighting in the bed. All versions come with six airbags, collision alert, air conditioning, and twilight sensor.
The LTZ, Premier, and RS versions add 17″ alloy wheels, keyless entry with push-button start, wireless charging, blind-spot alert, and Full LED headlights. Despite the improvements, the Montana still does not offer semi-autonomous items from the ADAS package, which remain absent even in the top-of-the-line versions.
