New Yamaha Motorcycle Revolutionizes Brazilian Market With Starting Price of R$ 17,000. Yamaha Fluo 125 Hybrid Offers Fuel Consumption of 49.3 km/l.

Hybrid motorcycles are still not very common in the Brazilian market, so much so that Brazil is only now getting an electrified option. This is the new Yamaha Fluo 125 Hybrid 2026, which is not only the first scooter in the country to have the assistance of an electric motor but also the first motorcycle across all categories. In this article, we will learn about the new Yamaha motorcycle entering the Brazilian market.

New Hybrid Motorcycle – Yamaha Fluo 125 Delivers 8.3 Hp of Power

Offered as the top-of-the-line version Fluo 125, the new Yamaha motorcycle will be sold for R$ 16,690, an increase of R$ 1,400 over the R$ 15,290 charged for the Connected version, which is not electrified.

The chosen technology was mild hybrid, using a motor-generator instead of an alternator, which recovers energy during braking and gives a small assistance to the combustion engine of the hybrid motorcycle in certain situations, such as during startup, accelerations, and heavier deceleration.

It is important to note that with the new Yamaha motorcycle, it is not possible to ride purely in electric mode, as the system does not move the wheels and the battery is too small for that. According to the brand, the electric motor operates continuously for only three seconds, however, it did not disclose the power or torque generated.

However, it is not much, considering that the Yamaha Fluo 125 hybrid motorcycle uses a 125 cm³ single-cylinder engine that generates 8.3 hp at 7,000 RPM and 1 kgfm at 5,000 RPM, which is a reduction of 1.2 hp compared to the previous model. The transmission is automatic CVT.

New Yamaha Motorcycle Achieves Up to 49.3 km/l

The consumption figures for the Yamaha Fluo 125 hybrid motorcycle were not disclosed by the Japanese manufacturer, merely stating that the hybrid version is up to 12% more efficient. Thus, considering that the standard version can deliver 44.1 km/l, the new Yamaha motorcycle can reach up to 49.3 km/l, provided it is under ideal conditions.

As with all vehicles with a mild hybrid system, the focus is not on reducing consumption, but rather on the reduction of harmful emissions from the engine to meet emission standards.

The scooter still features telescopic front suspension with 90 mm of travel, while the rear has 88 mm of travel, connected to 12-inch wheels with tubeless tires. The Yamaha Fluo 125 also features a disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear, also utilizing an ABS system.

Design and Technologies Present in Yamaha’s Hybrid Motorcycle

The optical set has been completely updated, featuring new high and low beam headlights, and the position light is LED. The new rear taillight and the new turn signals with crystal-colored lenses complete the look. The length of the Fluo 2025 seat has been increased to ensure better ergonomics.

The Yamaha Fluo 125 2025 has an Underbone type chassis and measures 1,875 mm in length, 690 mm in width, and 1,115 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,280 mm, minimum ground clearance of 135 mm, and seat height of 780 mm.

The equipment list includes an instrument panel with an LCD screen, LED headlights, a start-stop system for the engine, and a USB-A port. Yamaha has also included the Y-CONNECT, a system that allows the scooter to connect to a mobile app and check information such as battery and oil level, fuel consumption, and motorcycle location.
