Official Date And Teaser
The teaser released by the manufacturer shows a wide grille with the RAM logo centered, LED headlights with interconnected lights, and accessories like a roof-mounted light rack.
There are off-road tires and the “Turbo” emblem on the hood, reinforcing the adventurous appeal.
At the rear, the spelling Nightfall stands out, but Stellantis has not confirmed whether it is the model name or just a special launch series.
Positioning And Competitors
The new mid-size pickup truck from Ram enters the brand’s portfolio to operate above the Rampage.
The aim is to compete in the traditional mid-size pickup segment, dominated by Hilux, Ranger, and S10, focusing on sturdiness and content.

The launch was confirmed for August 13, with a regional presentation.
Platform, Project And Origin
The product comes from the Project KP2, designed for South America.
The architecture derives from the base developed by the Chinese Changan for the Kaicene F70/Changan Hunter pickups, the same structural family used by Peugeot Landtrek and Fiat Titano.
The adoption of this platform allows for a chassis over longitudinal beams, crew cab, and solutions for 4×2 and 4×4 traction, focusing on durability and maintenance cost.
What Changes Compared To Titano?
Although it shares the technical base with the Fiat Titano, the new Ram pickup will have its own finishing and adjustments, such as an exclusive grille, wheels, bumpers, and light signature, as well as specific calibration of the suspension and steering.
Recent spy shots in Argentina show pre-series units of the KP2 undergoing tests and in the process of being exported to the region.
Production In Argentina And Investments
Production in Argentina is confirmed at the Córdoba Automotive Polo, where Stellantis has structured a “pickup hub” to supply South America.
The complex received R$ 2 billion in investments between 2025 and 2030 and will also host the local development of the Multijet 2.2 engine, with the company expecting to start industrial application in future cycles.
The project created 1,800 jobs and has “focus on export across the region”, according to corporate communication.
In parallel, company executives also detailed a $385 million investment in the Córdoba plant for a new vehicle line and engine production.
Powertrain: What We Already Know
On the mechanical front, the most concrete reference comes from the Fiat Titano, its sister base produced in the same hub.
The Titano 2026 debuted the 2.2 Multijet turbo diesel with 200 hp and up to 450 Nm (45.9 kgfm) with eight-speed automatic transmission in top versions and six-speed manual option in entry configurations.
There was also an evolution of the chassis and brakes, with discs on all four wheels, as well as a new permanent all-wheel drive (AWD) system in selected versions.
And on the new mid-size pickup from Ram?
Industry sources indicate that the 2.2 turbo diesel with 200 hp is the most likely to equip the launch, possibly coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
However, Stellantis has not yet released the technical specifications of the model in the teaser, and it is not possible to officially confirm all specifications at this time.

And The Assistance Systems?
In the Titano, the ADAS package includes, depending on the versions, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.
Since it shares engineering and suppliers, it is plausible that the new Ram pickup will inherit part of these resources, but the company has not detailed the content of Nightfall thus far.
Nightfall Series And Debut Equipment
The official video highlights the inscription Nightfall on the tailgate, wheels with dark finishes, and roof bars with auxiliary lights.
The combination suggests an off-road appeal and an exclusive visual for the first sales wave.
The brand, however, has not confirmed the list of items or the finalized package of the series.
Name: Dakota, 1200 Or Another?
The commercial name remains under wraps.
Parts of the press speculate about reviving the historic Dakota.
There are also registration movements in the region mentioning possible names, such as Ram 1800, linked to the Project KP2.
Until the presentation, there is no official confirmation of the name.
Where Does Ram Want To Go?
The plan is clear: to expand coverage in the segment and directly target Hilux, Ranger, and S10 with a product of chassis and global proposal, positioned above the Rampage.
With manufacturing in Córdoba and a regional export network, the brand aims for scale and logistical agility to compete with market leaders.
When Will It Hit The Stores?
The first stage is the reveal on August 13.
Pre-series and approvals are underway in Argentina, and the brand announced that there will be a “big announcement” on that date.
Price information, versions, payload and towing capacities, fuel consumption, and complete technology packages will be detailed by the manufacturer at the launch.

Important Detail About The Engine
Some publications mention that the 2.2 with 200 hp already “equips Rampage, Toro, and Commander”.
We did not find public confirmation of this application in these lines in Brazil today.
What is officially confirmed is the adoption of the 2.2 Multijet with 200 hp in the Titano 2026, with 8 speeds, disc brakes on all four wheels, and ADAS.
For the new Ram pickup, the official technical specifications have not been released at the time of this publication.
