For The Project, 5 Solar Power Parks In Ceará Will Be Built, Generating 540 Job Openings In The Initial Phase
A new solar energy project in the state of Ceará is expected to create around 540 job openings, with investments of around R$ 725 million. Sudene – Northeast Development Superintendence confirmed the information and approved a prior consultation for financing the park’s project. In total, R$ 422.5 million is expected to be financed by the Northeast Development Fund (FDNE).
Solar Energy Park And Job Creation In Ceará
With a total investment of R$ 725 million, the company Lightsource will build 5 energy parks. It is estimated that about 540 jobs will be created during the implementation/construction phase and 125 jobs when the park is fully operational.
According to Sudene, the approval of the prior consultation is the first step toward granting financing, and the General Coordination of the Development Financing Fund (CGDF) should increase financing in sectors that have already gained a competitive advantage in the market.

Solar Energy Exceeds 8 GW Of Capacity And Has Generated More Than 240 Thousand Jobs In Brazil
ABSOLAR – Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy reported that the generating capacity of photovoltaic solar energy in Brazil has surpassed 8 GW, generated over 240,000 jobs, and attracted investments of more than R$ 40 billion. The data also showed that the energy source supplied around 514,000 consumer units in Brazil. The survey considered large plants and small and medium-sized systems installed on land, facades, and rooftops.
The numbers from the ABSOLAR survey also show that since 2012, the photovoltaic solar energy sector has generated over 240,000 jobs and invested more than R$ 40 billion. The accumulated investment in large-scale solar plants exceeds R$ 16 billion.
