New VW Electric SUV Based on Entry-Level Car, Replacing Polo, MEB Platform, 450km Range, Sharp Headlights, Tablet-Style Interior, US$ 22,000 – US$ 27,000.
Volkswagen is ramping up its efforts to achieve the goal of selling only electric cars in Europe by 2033, and one of the main highlights is the launch of the brand’s first more affordable electric SUV. Based on the ID.2all concept, the new model promises to be an economical and sustainable option for European consumers, potentially replacing the current VW T-Cross.
The teaser released by Volkswagen reveals the large wheel arches of the electric SUV, as well as a silhouette that features sharp headlights and a rear slope similar to that of the ID.2, showing that the automaker is committed to innovating and offering electric SUV options to meet market demands.

Tablet-Style Interior and Front-Wheel Drive Motor
Although we don’t have much information beyond the teaser image, it is noticeable that many elements are common to the VW ID.2all. This model was developed to anticipate VW’s entry-level electric SUV, which will serve as the equivalent to the Polo. The interior will likely also be shared, meaning that VW’s future SUV may feature a 12.9-inch tablet-style central screen and a 10.9-inch digital instrument display.
MEB Platform and 450km Range
Built on a variation of VW’s MEB platform, the electric SUV will only have front-wheel drive motor configurations available due to the limitations of the architecture itself. The batteries may be two, one of 38 kWh and another of 58 kWh. However, unlike the ID.2, which has the same configuration, the SUV is not expected to achieve a range of 450km due to its weight and aerodynamics.
Prices Not Yet Revealed by VW
Prices have not yet been revealed by VW, but considering the hatch model, the brand’s SUV is expected to be priced around US$ 22,000 and US$ 27,000, approximately R$ 108,000 and R$ 132,000, respectively, at the current conversion rate.
