C6 Bank Announces Measure That Will Hit Users of the Card Hard

With this new measure from C6 Bank, customers will have less time to make purchases before the credit card bill due date. 

Initially, C6 Bank announced news that negatively impacted its credit card customers. The period between the closing and due date of the bills has been reduced by 3 days. Therefore, its customers will have a shorter interval between the bill closing and its due date.

This allows for greater security during times of financial difficulty. Previously, C6 Bank had established a 10-day period; with the change, this period becomes 7 days. However, the change will take effect starting on July 7 according to the statement issued by the digital bank to its customers. 

Check If the Card Payment Date Will Change

If the C6 Bank user makes the bill payment through automatic debit, there will be no need to change the payment date, as the scheduling and debit will not be altered. Thus, the payment date of the credit card bill will remain the same as already established.

In this case, only the day the bill is closed will change. Therefore, the best shopping day can be checked through the app in the bank under “Cards.” Any questions regarding the change can be directed to the bank directly via the app’s chat or by phone:

  • 3003 6116 – capitals and metropolitan regions;
  • 0800 660 6116 – other regions.

Other Banks Have Also Adopted the Change 

Be aware that C6 Bank was not the first to adopt this change, as other banks also decided to shorten the closing and due date of the bill. In addition to C6, Santander, Itaú, and Inter also took the same measure.

According to specialists, the situation will not bring significant changes to how consumers use credit cards from these financial institutions, as the change is minor and will not affect users’ daily lives.
