Capacity
At present, the capacity of the company in Minas Gerais, Atlas Casablanca, is 330MW – which is not a problem, considering that after the start of the contract in 2022 with Anglo American and Renewable Energy, it will be able to produce a sufficient amount of Energy to supply a city with up to 1.4 million inhabitants, based, of course, on the average Brazilian consumption.
100% Renewable Energy
Anglo American will use 100% renewable solar energy throughout its operations in Brazilian territory together with the Minas Gerais company – Atlas Casablanca. This will undoubtedly reduce CO2 emissions by up to 30% by 2030.
Advanced Technology
In addition, the company Atlas Renewable Energy, which is also part of the solar energy partnership contract involving Anglo American – along with the Minas Gerais company – Atlas Casablanca, states that during its activities in Brazilian soil, it will use only solar panels with reflection from the back and front sides – this is a new innovative technology aimed at improving photovoltaic conversion and efficiency.
