The Construction Works of Brazil’s 1st Airport Hub in the Midwest Are Already Generating Jobs in Aparecida de Goiânia
The construction works for Brazil’s first airport hub in the Midwest have begun in Aparecida de Goiânia, and many job opportunities will be generated in the region. The execution of the project will be in 4 phases. The first one, related to earthworks, started on July 15 and is expected to be completed in 2024, with the runway already in operation.

By then, according to the project, the Antares Aeronautical Hub will have delivered 72 lots out of a total of 455 planned.
The boarding and disembarking areas and all essential infrastructure for the hangars, which will range from 1,000 m² to 1,500 m² depending on the owner’s needs and the aircraft size, are also planned.

The Airport Hub Will Have a 54,000 m² Runway Capable of Accommodating All Models of General Aviation, Business Jets, Single-Engine and Twin-Engine Aircraft
The connection for water and energy to the hangars will be executed in 2023.
Initially, the 54,000 m² runway will be capable of accommodating all models of general aviation, business jets, single-engine and twin-engine aircraft.
However, according to the project manager, Breno Luiz Rojas, a study is being conducted to identify the possibility of widening the runway so that larger aircraft can also use the facility.

Currently, the team of professionals on the site consists of: one civil engineer, one general foreman, two hydraulic excavator operators, two grader operators, two front-end loader operators, eight compactor operators, four water truck drivers, one escort truck driver, 10 dump truck drivers, two spotters, one safety technician, one grader operator, and one administrative staff member.
In the near future, around 50 job openings are expected to be opened in the region.
Additionally, the project is expected to attract companies in air taxi, aeromedical services, maintenance, hangaring, flight training schools, and support structure, including commerce, restaurants, and a hotel.
The expectation is to also attract industries, especially aircraft parts manufacturing, turbines and engines for aviation, among others, as well as companies focused on the logistics segment.
