Works at Campo Grande Airport Will Modernize the Terminal, with New Boarding Bridges, Improvements to the Runway, and Suspension of Night Flights During Part of the Renovations

A Aena Brasil has started the expansion works at Campo Grande International Airport – Ueze Elias Zahran, the main airport terminal in Mato Grosso do Sul. The modernization includes significant improvements to the infrastructure of the location.

Among the main updates is the installation of boarding and disembarkation bridges, a long-standing demand from passengers. The project also includes renovations to the aircraft parking area, an expansion of the parking lot, a requalification of the runway, and the creation of protected escape areas.

Due to these interventions, night flights from Monday to Saturday will be temporarily suspended. Only on Sundays will landings and take-offs continue normally.

According to Aena, the first phase of runway works will take place between July 7 and August 8, 2025. The concessionaire stated that the work is being planned to cause the least impact possible on airport operations.

The renovations follow aviation safety standards and aim to improve user experience. The expectation is that the terminal will offer a higher standard of public service, responding to the growing demand and reinforcing its strategic role in the Midwest region.

With the new phase of construction, Campo Grande Airport is on track to become a benchmark in infrastructure and services in Brazil.
