Rio de Janeiro, May 22, 2023 – Ocyan, a leading company in the FPSO sector, will prominently participate in the highly anticipated FPSO Brazil Congress 2023, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro from May 23 to 26. It is worth noting that it recently transferred some of its businesses to a new company.

The annual event will highlight the future of the FPSO industry in Brazil, focusing on pre-salt fields as well as the planned projects for production vessels in those areas by 2026. Additionally, innovative technologies and tools to reduce carbon emissions during operations will be discussed.

According to Jorge Mitieri, Executive Vice President of the Integrated Services Unit at Ocyan, the company’s ongoing participation in the event is a recognition of its work and expertise in the sector.

“It is extremely important for Ocyan to be present at this event, reaffirming our prominent position in the FPSO market. We will have qualified representatives who will address relevant issues for the sector, which has enormous growth potential in Brazil”, Mitieri emphasizes. During May 24 and 25, he will be the Chairperson of the event, leading the discussions.

Helena Ramos, Vice President of Finance and Investment at Ocyan, will deliver the opening speech at the pre-event on May 23. She will also participate in the panel “Framing Commercially Bankable FPSO Projects to Win Over Financial Funds” and the Fire-Side Chat: “Identifying Innovative Financing Models for Upcoming FPSO Projects in Brazil”.

The FPSO Congress Brazil is part of the FPSO Global Series, a series of world-renowned events that brings together key players in this sector. These meetings aim to explore and discuss best practices to strengthen the future of FPSOs.
