I worked in sales and after-sales at a multinational telephone company. I started in 2009 and in 2018 I ended up in the office of a psychiatrist, psychologist, and psychotherapist. The pressure is high to meet the targets of both the sales manager, regional manager, and general manager. Today, in 2024, I continue in treatment and my cell phone is on silent. I am terrified just to hear about a telephone plan. I am sorry when they call me offering improvements to my plan or another operator offering portability. I registered my number on Do Not Disturb.

I agree, absurd goals, it's not worth it and from there to the CAPS call center, horrible.

They sell a great illusion! And healthy young people embrace this as their first job, and then they will have a hard time finding a different job. Telemarketers are greatly undervalued, they earn less than garbage collectors, and they should earn what a mayor earns.

This is not true, at least not at Vivo. I started at Vivo as a call center attendant, and after less than 3 months of service I was already in another position. The salary is low, it's true, it's the minimum wage for a call center, but the benefits more than make up for it. Vivo's call center is a pleasant and quiet place (believe me) and Vivo offers many opportunities for growth. The entrance door is through the call center, because the other positions are for internal recruitment. If you're hoping to get into Vivo in an administrative position, forget it. Anyway, I'm an employee at Vivo and I'm very satisfied. It's a company that cares about the well-being of its employees.
