State Program of Pará Opens 7,000 Places in Various Courses, Including 5,000 for English Courses
The State Secretary of Science, Technology, Higher Education, Professional and Technological Education (Sectet) announced the opening of seven thousand places in training courses for COP30, which will take place in Belém, Pará, in 2025.
Designed to train local professionals, these courses are part of the program “Capacita COP30,” promoted by the government of the state, and cater to sectors such as tourism, hospitality, infrastructure, and languages.
Out of the seven thousand courses, five thousand are for teaching English, a growing demand with the expectation of tourists and representatives from various countries who will come to the state during the event.

Partnerships and Teaching Modalities
The program has strategic partnerships, including Instituto Coca-Cola Brasil, Solar Coca-Cola, and EF Education First, which provide online learning options for language courses.
There will be two thousand places in courses focused on administrative areas and five thousand for language courses. These initiatives strengthen the training network and bring qualified training opportunities for professionals in the region.
In addition to the online modality, the cities of Castanhal, Santa Izabel, Benevides, and Salvaterra will have in-person hubs with classes of 30 students each.
This expansion to in-person classes aims to reach a larger number of participants in strategic locations, facilitating access to training.
