Chery Has A Sustainable Project And Has Launched Its First Electric Car In The Line, The QQ Ice Cream, Which Despite The “Different” Name, Will Have A Price That Competes With Cheap Electric Cars From Alibaba
We know that Alibaba offers various cheap models, but to compete with this wave of inexpensive electric cars, Chery is bringing its new vehicle, the QQ Ice Cream, which costs less than R$ 25,000 and will rival the Wuling Hong Guang Mini EV, the cheapest electric car in China.

QQ Ice Cream Will Be Part Of A Sustainable Project By Chery
The first generation of the model arrived in the country around 2011 and drew attention with its more simplified style. Until 2019, Chery’s vehicle was one of the cheapest in the country and now, it will be part of a sustainable project of the brand in partnership with Allyun, a company from the same group as Alibaba.
The project is named iCar, which aims to manufacture electric cars. The first vehicle will be the QQ Ice Cream, which despite its quite peculiar name, has the mission of popularizing electric cars among younger people. When purchasing, it will be possible to choose from the following colors: Yellow, Green, White, Blue, Pink, and Purple.

A Discreet Design
From the teasers shown by Chery, it is already possible to draw some conclusions. Unlike the previous generation, the QQ Ice Cream, which will compete with cheap electric cars from Alibaba, will have a more modest design with a box-like shape. Despite being unusual, this style of car is quite popular in Asian countries like Japan and China.
One of the main highlights at the front is its lighting system, which features daytime running lights in a U-shape, which is also seen at the rear of the electric car. The headlights are circular, and in the front grille, the socket for connecting the charging cable is located below the logo.
Similar Values To Alibaba’s Electric Cars
Another highlight of Chery’s model is its price, which could be around R$ 25,000, all to face its rival Wuling Hong Guang Mini EV. The Wuling was launched last year and is a compact car launched by Wuling in partnership with GM.
In terms of specifications, the QQ Ice Cream has a motor that can generate only 27 horsepower and 8.8 kgfm of torque. Buyers will also be able to choose between two types of batteries, one of 9.2 kWh, which will provide a range of 120 km, and another of 13.8 kWh, which will provide a range of 170 km for the electric car. According to the manufacturer, the model can reach a maximum speed of 100 km/h.
