Industrial Technicians Will Leave the Confea Crea System and Be Governed by the Federal Council of Industrial Technicians (CFT)
As of September 21, industrial technicians with a medium level will be supervised by another federal agency and no longer by the Confea/Crea system. They will be overseen and monitored by the Federal Council of Industrial Technicians (CFT) established on June 22, 2018. The new entity is following a determination governed by the law 13.639, created in March 2018. The “law was sanctioned by the Presidency of the Republic, which created the Federal Council of Industrial Technicians and this is the body that will regulate and oversee their professional activity.”
Industrial Technicians
Industrial technicians at the medium level are professionals in the fields of mechanics, metallurgy, chemistry, electrical, civil, surveying, geology, and mining. Technicians in occupational safety are in a special group and remain in the Confea/Crea System. See the complete list on the CFT website. After September 20, there will be no more actions from the Creas for industrial technicians. The registrations of these professionals will already be under the responsibility of the CFT.

Federal Council of Industrial Technicians (CFT)
Here is the note from the Federal Council of Industrial Technicians (CFT). “After several negotiation attempts and due to the lack of agreement with the CONFEA/CREA System for the extension of the deadline for servicing technicians, we inform that the CFT – Federal Council of Industrial Technicians, established by Law No. 13.639/2018, filed a writ of security on September 19, 2018, and is awaiting a court decision to ensure that professionals receive full service without any damage to their activities. We also inform that a program is being developed for the generation of the TRT – Technical Responsibility Term as a replacement for the ART – Technical Responsibility Annotation, which will be available from October 1, 2018.
