Detran-CE Holds Services for the CNH Popular Program on May 3 and 4 in Six Cities. See How to Schedule, Which Documents to Bring, and How to Track the Process.
The State Department of Traffic of Ceará (Detran-CE) continues to assist candidates approved in the 2023 and 2024 editions of the CNH Popular program.
On May 3 and 4, the agency’s commissions will be in six municipalities to start the licensing process completely free of charge.
How to Know if You Were Approved
Candidates selected for the CNH Popular program have already been chosen by Detran-CE. The lists are available on the official website of the agency.

For those whose names have been approved, the next step is to schedule an online appointment to begin the process.
Mandatory Scheduling
Before going to the driving school, the candidate must access the website www.detran.ce.gov.br and make an appointment. The system will inform the date and time to appear at the accredited unit. It is essential to respect the scheduled time.
On the scheduled date, the candidate must go to the driving school bringing the following documents: ID, CPF, and updated proof of address. Without these documents, it will not be possible to start the licensing process.
Service in the Cities
On May 3 and 4, Detran-CE’s commissions will serve in the municipalities of Meruoca, Alcântaras, Saboeiro, Catarina, Barreira, and Acarape.
After the initial appointment at the driving school, the candidate must also go to the location indicated by the agency to continue the process.
To facilitate tracking, Detran provides the Meu Detran CE app. In it, you can check the progress of your process, receive notifications, and keep your information updated.
