The contract is the result of the extraordinary capacity offer process launched by the carrier in early December to replace Public Call 03 (CP03/21). The new contract to be signed between the Center-South distributors and Petrobras will guarantee service to the captive markets of each company from January 2022.

The product under negotiation, the only viable one among those offered by the supplier, is for a four-year contract and has new price conditions, with an adjustment of approximately 44% in relation to the price of the current contract for the first year. Other products offered would imply readjustments of up to 200% in relation to the current price.

Volume contracted with Petrobras exceeds the mark of 19 million m³/day

In total, for 2022 alone, the volume contracted with Petrobras exceeds the mark of 19 million m³/day. Together, the five distributors that make up CP22 account for 15% of the gas distribution market in Brazil and serve more than 170 consumers.

The transport capacity contracted by the state-owned company is present at the Entry Points in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul – at the measuring station (EMED) in Corumbá (14 million m³/day); and São Paulo – at EMED Gascar, in Campinas (more than 5,7 million m³/day).

As for the capacity in the Output Zones, the following result was obtained: São Paulo – in Output Zones SP1 (925 thousand m³/day), SP2 (11,9 million m³/day) and SP4 (950 thousand m³/day ); Santa Catarina – in the Output Zones SC1 (1,3 million m³/day) and SC2 (826 thousand m³/day); and Rio Grande do Sul – in the Output Zone RS1 (1,7 million m³/day).

Until December 30th, the stages of providing guarantees and signing contracts will take place.
