Secure Your Spot! Free Professional Qualification Courses with Scholarships of Up to R$ 858. Learn How to Participate!

Petrobras has launched opportunities for free courses aimed at those who wish to enter the oil and gas sector, one of the most promising in the Brazilian economy. In addition to professional qualification, selected participants will be able to receive a scholarship of up to R$ 858, making the initiative even more accessible for people in vulnerable situations.

Qualification for Different Areas of the Oil Sector

The program includes training in strategic areas for the industry, offering free courses for warehouse clerks, electricians, occupational safety technicians, and building technicians. These qualifications are essential to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the oil and gas sector.

The free courses are part of the Autonomy and Income Program, created by Petrobras to provide professional qualification and expand employment opportunities. The initiative prioritizes the inclusion of candidates registered in the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico) and socially vulnerable groups, ensuring greater diversity in the sector.

This action is aligned with the Acredita Primeiro Passo Program, from the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Hunger Combat. The protocol was formalized by the president of Petrobras, Magda Chambriard, and the minister Wellington Dias.

Among the priority groups for selection are women, Black people, indigenous people, quilombolas, refugees, people with disabilities (PCD), transgender individuals, and long-term unemployed people. Petrobras aims to reduce inequalities and promote greater equity in the job market.

Scholarship and Program Impact

Selected students for the free courses will receive financial assistance of R$ 650. For women with children up to 11 years old, this amount increases to R$ 858, helping to cover childcare expenses and allowing for greater dedication to the course.

Since the launch of the program, thousands of people have already participated in professional qualification, and the expectation is that this number will grow even more in the coming years. In 2024, over 1,100 students participated in the training, with new classes planned for 2025.

The impact of the project has been significant. Surveys indicate that 75% of participants are Black, 60% are women, and 45% are single mothers. By investing in the training of these professionals, Petrobras strengthens the economy and creates new job opportunities in the energy sector.

How to Enroll in Free Courses

Those interested in the free courses can register through the official Petrobras website, while spots are available. The selection process will prioritize candidates from CadÚnico and the mentioned social groups.

The selection includes document analysis and interviews to assess the candidates’ profiles and ensure they meet the program’s requirements. It is recommended that applicants pay attention to deadlines and stages of the process.
