Petrobras sold to the Mangue Seco Participações fund, which belongs to the Fundo de Investimento em Participações Multiestratégia Pirineus, a 51% stake in Eólica Mangue Seco 2 for R$34,2 million. The complex, located in Guamaré, in Rio Grande do Norte, has a total installed capacity of 26 MW and is part of the four wind farms located in the region. The sale of Petrobras' stake in the wind complex

Petrobras informed that the transaction for the sale of Eólica Mangue Seco 2 was completed for R$34,2 million and the adjustments stipulated in the share purchase and sale agreement were paid. This deal is in line with the strategy of optimizing the investment portfolio and improving the company's capital allocation, aiming to bring maximum value to shareholders.

During the divestment process, Petrobras must really leave Rio Grande do Norte (RN), since, in a note in August 2020, Petrobras informed that in addition to the logistics and oil structure, it would also give up its exploration areas onshore.

The Wind Complex in Rio Grande do Norte

The three parks already sold are part of a complex of four developments – Mangue Seco 1, Mangue Seco 2, Mangue Seco 3 and Mangue Seco 4, located in Guamaré, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. They have a total installed capacity of 104 MW. Eólica Mangue Seco 2 owns and operates a wind farm with a capacity of 26 MW.

About the company that acquired stakes in the state-owned company

FIP Pirineus was formed on September 25, 2015 and aims to participate in companies in the renewable energy sector, including complex wind, photovoltaic solar and development of disruptive technology. FIP Pirineus acts proactively in its invested companies, with effective influence in the definition of its strategic policy and in its management. With the purchase of Petrobras' stake, the fund will hold 100% of the share capital of Eólica Mangue Seco 2, in Rio Grande do Norte (RN).
