Transpetro, A Petrobras Subsidiary, Signed with Propav to Perform Services at Terminals in RJ and ES. Many Jobs Will Be Created with the Works
Petrobras Transporte (Transpetro), a Brazilian company for fuel transportation and logistics, has signed a three-year contract with Propav Construção e Montagem to carry out technical services of cleaning, maintenance, and rehabilitation of storage tanks at six terminals located in the states of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo. The company responsible for the services has solid experience in the construction and maintenance of storage tanks with over 23 years in the market. Propav’s Contract with Transpetro
Propav Construção e Montagem won the bidding and secured a large and important contract with Transpetro (Petrobras Transporte). Under the contract, the companies will engage in three years of technical services for cleaning, maintenance, and rehabilitation of storage tanks at six terminals.
The services provided by Propav will be conducted at the Terminal de Angra dos Reis/RJ (TAAR-TEBIG), Terminal Aquaviário da Baía de Guanabara Ilha Redonda in Rio de Janeiro/RJ (TABG-IR), Terminal de Campos Elísios (TECAM) in Duque de Caxias/RJ, Terminal de Volta Redonda/RJ (TEVOL), Terminal de Japeri/RJ (TEJAP), and Terminal de Vitória/ES (TEVIT). During the works at the Petrobras subsidiary’s terminals, new job opportunities will be created in the areas surrounding the terminals, reaching up to 300 direct jobs at the peak of the works and around 350 indirect jobs.

The works of UPGN at Comperj will be resumed at full speed by the Kerui Método consortium. Petrobras’s unit is part of the Route 3 project to transport natural gas production from the pre-salt layer of the Santos Basin. The start of the works occurred in the first half of 2018, and the estimate at that time was for completion in the second half of that year, which will likely not happen.
