São Mateus Port Center (CPSM), in Espírito Santo, has changes in the project and Petrocity and Odebrecht show optimism

As reported by Click Petróleo e Gás, on January 17th, A contract was signed between Petrocity Portos and Odebrecht for the construction of the São Mateus Port Center, in Espírito Santo.
Since then, the project has evolved and gained modifications that, according to Odebrecht and Petrocity, will make operations more efficient.

Changes were made in the logistics, in relation to the arrangement of the patios and in the port's suspension bridge, which will now extend 1,8 km from the beach.
According to the president of Petrocity, José Roberto Barbosa da Silva, this change will favor cabotage in relation to the transshipment of cargo and was implemented with the cooperation of Odebrecht.

The president also emphasized that the partnership with Odebrecht was extremely important, as the suspension bridge will make it possible for the vessels not to get too close to the beach, which favors the relationship with the environment.

Decreased dredging was also cited as another way to have less of an impact on the environment as the material to be dredged decreased by 10% with the new bridge.

Environmental licensing

In order to receive the license and, consequently, the release for the beginning of the works, the CPSM still awaits the result of the analysis of the material forwarded to the responsible body.
All mobilization for the construction of the Megaport of São Mateus will start from there, assured Petrocity and Odebrecht.

Job creation

The President of Petrocity declared that from July he will start receiving data and information about companies and professionals who want to contribute to the project.

According to him, Augusto Coelho will handle the administrative part and Odebrecht will take care of the port, but he would like to have other companies that want to add to Odebrecht, and opened possibilities for companies in the north and northwest regions of Espírito Santo, east of Minas Gerais and southern Bahia.

Petrocity Portos has a link on its website to an ombudsman where interested parties can seek information about the project or even send their emails and addresses to participate in the project.
