Starting 2023 with major news, Peugeot announced that it will have five new battery electric vehicle models in its lineup by 2025. Two of them, E-308 and E-308 SW (wagon), were revealed in 2022 and are expected to start deliveries soon. In the meantime, the French automaker confirmed the other three cars as E-408, E-3008, and E-5008.
Additionally, Peugeot revealed several models with a futuristic aesthetic, featuring a new light signature. The seven prototypes shown are SUVs, sedans, and coupes of various sizes that have a distinctive appearance compared to the current electric cars in the lineup.
Range of New Electric Cars Shocks the Public
The next model to be revealed by the French automaker is the Peugeot E-3008, which will come off the production line in the second half of 2023. It is a fully electric version of the 3008, which will have one of its main highlights being the range of up to 700 km. This will be the first vehicle based on the new platform for mid-size models from Stellantis and will feature three different propulsion options, including two-motor versions.

Regarding the Peugeot E-308 (hatchback and wagon) models that have already been revealed, the automaker announced that it will use a new front motor with 115 kW (156 hp) of power and a 54 kWh battery, which has a usable capacity of 51 kWh. Their range reaches around 400 km (WLTP), with a charge and DC fast charging power of 100 kW, enough to recover 20 to 80% of charge in 25 minutes.
Peugeot Plans to Have 100% Electrified Offering by 2025
Peugeot’s goal is to have “a 100% electrified offering” by 2025. The French company will have a battery electric vehicle (BEV) available in every segment it operates. This information was disclosed by the brand during the launch of the E-2008 here in Brazil last November. By 2030, all models from Peugeot sold in Europe will be purely electric.
