Aiming to Increase Competitiveness in the Electric Market, Peugeot Launches Promotion for the E-2008, Positioning It as a Strong Competitor to the Hyundai Kona EV.
Peugeot has once again lowered the price of the Peugeot e-2008. The electric SUV from the French brand is being sold for R$ 199,990 in case of negotiation with a used car in exchange (of any brand and model) and is valid for an indefinite period. As part of the plan to boost electric car sales in the country, which previously cost R$ 219,990, the promotion is supported by partners who provide various actions from the purchase to the post-sale, in order to identify the main needs and anticipate solutions for the new customers of electric mobility.
Peugeot E-2008 Electric on Promotion Starts Competing with Hyundai Kona EV
Specialized in the sales and aftersales of electrified vehicles, the e-Center network is already present in several capitals of the country such as São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Salvador, and is expected to reach 35 stores by the end of this year. With the new promotion, Peugeot’s electric car is closing in on the Hyundai Kona EV, which is currently being sold for R$ 189,990, making it the most affordable electric SUV on the market right now.
This week, Seres also announced a price reduction for the Seres 3, from R$ 219,990 to the same R$ 199,990. The compact electric SUV, which is the second fully electric passenger vehicle from the French brand, is sold in a single version with a complete equipment package and shares the same powertrain as the Peugeot e-208 GT.

Based on the e-CMP platform, the electric car Peugeot e-2008 measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,550 mm in height, 1,770 mm in width, and 2,605 mm in wheelbase. These are the same dimensions and look as the other propulsion options in the lineup, and the difference lies in the increase of more than 300 kg, which raises the total weight to 1,630 kg. The wheels are 18” with 215/55 R18 tires, and the model does not have a spare tire.
The Peugeot electric with promotion is equipped with a 100 kW electric motor, equivalent to 136 horsepower and 26.5 kgfm of torque, with three different driving modes. With a capacity of 50 kWh, the battery guarantees the e-2008 a range of 234 km according to Inmetro (WLTP: 345 km) and fast charging of 80% in up to 30 minutes (at 100 kW stations).
Peugeot Announces New Electric Car
The French brand decided to bring forward its official presentation and released the first images of the Peugeot e-3008. The electric car represents the arrival of the third generation of the Peugeot 3008, while the second generation will remain for sale for a few more years with combustion or hybrid engines.
The preview released allows us to observe the directions taken by the design. The Peugeot Electric would not need a grille; however, it emulates the part with squares that create a 3D effect. Right above, there is a black bar that connects the headlights and features the name of the electric car at the center.
It is worth noting that the headlights of the new electric car are full LED type, and its lighting signature integrates with the three vertical LED bars beneath the piece.
This time, the version with the more common body will be the E-5008, which has not been left aside; however, this silhouette classified as a fastback SUV features a more arched roofline that ends in a spoiler forged into the trunk lid.
This somewhat resembles the Haval H6 GT due to its taillights that invade the trunk, joined by a black bar, but the license plate on the bumper gives the Peugeot electric a lighter appearance.
