After the initial acceptance, the system will automatically debit the amount from the payer’s account on the agreed date.
According to the Central Bank, it will be possible to establish personalized rules, such as transaction limits or use of account balance or credit.
In addition, the banking app will send a prior notification to the customer before each debit, informing them about the charge it will make.
If there are insufficient funds, the system will attempt to make the payment for two more consecutive days.
This tolerance reduces the risk of default and helps with financial planning.
System Offers Security, Autonomy, and Total Control to the User
The Central Bank developed the new Pix function with the highest standards of digital security.
The technology applied includes cutting-edge encryption, enhanced authentication, and complete traceability of each transaction.
Additionally, the user will be able to cancel the payment authorization at any time, blocking new debits with just a few taps on the app.
This freedom puts control in the consumer’s hands, promoting transparency and trust in the system.
