Polestar, The Electric Vehicle Brand Owned By Volvo, Has Introduced A New Variant Of Electric Motorcycle With A Battery Of Up To 31 Ah And 1.5 kWh
Polestar, the electric vehicle subdivision owned by Volvo, has introduced a new variant of electric motorcycle. The CAKE Makka is a new entry in the market for low-capacity, low-consumption electric vehicles. These vehicles are suited for urban travel and are quite practical.
The electric motorcycle that Polestar and Cake collaborated to produce is the second product from the partnership between the two companies.
The electric motor that comes standard with the Polestar electric motorcycle from Volvo is powered by a battery with a capacity of up to 31 Ah and 1.5 kWh. Due to its construction, the vehicle can reach 45 kilometers per hour and has a range of up to 55 kilometers.

The CAKE Makka has a relatively simple design in terms of bodywork. As some of its components are accessible, it is easier to see what needs to be maintained and inspect the items themselves, facilitating maintenance.
Both front and rear shock absorbers are included in the model, just like in larger motorcycles of the same type or similar. The rear shock absorber is located just below the seat.
The turn signals of the Volvo electric motorcycle are LED, and the footpegs are spacious and seem to be able to accommodate the user’s feet quite comfortably. Since the battery is situated in the center of the motorcycle’s body, the lights can be found on each side of the frame.
The Electric Motorcycle Launched By Polestar, Owned By Volvo, Features A Regenerative Braking System That Recharges The Battery When The Brakes Are Applied
The braking systems must also have a regeneration mechanism incorporated, as this is a crucial additional component. When activated, the stored kinetic energy is converted into electrical energy, which is then fed back to the battery, extending the range of the Polestar electric motorcycle from Volvo.
The electrification of transport is causing a stir in the market, and other companies are also entering the game. In addition to the electric motorcycle produced by Polestar, owned by Volvo, Honda has announced that it will significantly increase the production of electric bicycles.
The manufacturer plans to launch ten models by 2025 and has set a goal to be carbon neutral by 2050.
The CAKE Makka electric motorcycle from Polestar will initially be launched in the European market at a price of 5,300 Euros, which is equivalent to R$ 29,000 in direct conversion, considered expensive for a vehicle of this size. The company has not provided information on whether the vehicle will be sold in Brazil.
