Petrobras, continuing the announcement made on 04/28/2022, informs that it completed yesterday (07/05) the sale of its entire stake (27.88%) in Deten Química, located in the industrial hub of Camaçari, in the state of Bahia, to Cepsa Química, which already has an indirect stake in Deten of 69.94%.
After fulfilling all preconditions, the transaction was concluded on this date, with the payment of R$ 514 million upfront to Petrobras, a value that reflects the purchase price of R$ 585 million, adjusted for monetary correction, dividends received, and deductions for the amount deposited with Petrobras on the date of signing the stock purchase agreement.
“This operation is aligned with optimizing the portfolio and improving the capital allocation of the company, aiming to generate value for its shareholders”, said Petrobras in the announcement.

Deten manufactures and sells the main raw materials for the domestic and commercial cleaning segment in Brazil, being the only national producer of Linear Alkylbenzene (LAB), a precursor of Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LABSA), of which it is also a manufacturer.
Its annual production capacity is 230,000 tons of LAB and 120,000 tons of LABSA. Additionally, the company produces 10,000 tons/year of Heavy Alkylate (ALP) primarily intended for the production of thermal fluid, greases, lubricant additives, and textile oils.
