The Leases of Operational Areas at the Port of Imbituba Scheduled for Upcoming Months Will Be Essential for Attracting Infrastructure Investments, the Port Authority Has Opened a Public Call to Receive EVTEA Focused on the Processes
In order to bring even more transparency to the processes, the Port of Imbituba is hosting an open call on Wednesday, (05/25), for the donation of Technical Economic and Environmental Viability Studies (EVTEA) focused on the leasing of operational areas over the next few months. This is the main strategy of the port authority currently to secure the necessary investments for infrastructure improvements in the region.
Public Call for Receiving EVTEA Is Open at the Port of Imbituba, Focused on Future Leasing Processes of Operational Areas in the Complex
The EVTEA are essential for the technical development of large-scale projects and enterprises, and therefore, the Port of Imbituba has opened a public call for receiving studies focused on the leasing of operational areas. Thus, the donations will serve to subsidize the modeling of future leases of eight available public operational areas in the complex over the coming months, with a focus on the transport and handling of cargo on site.
Therefore, those interested in contributing with EVTEA for future leases at the Port of Imbituba must submit a request for authorization by June 11, to the email comercial@portodeimbituba.com.br, with all the information described in the body.

Regarding the public call opened this week, the Planning and Operations Director of the Port Authority, José João Tavares, stated that the main goal of the complex currently is to enable future leases of operational areas, focusing on attracting new investments to the site. This is because, with the privatization of these areas, the companies responsible for management will make a series of investments aimed at improvements in infrastructure and operational quality, thus bringing benefits to cargo handling operations at the Port of Imbituba.
The Port Will Analyze All Donated EVTEA for Inclusion in the Leasing Processes, Focused on the Search for New Investments in Infrastructure
The initial phase in the process of receiving EVTEA for the leases will be responsible for analyzing the requests, and after that, the Port of Imbituba will issue Authorization Terms to initiate technical studies, and the authorized companies will have 180 days to present the EVTEA to the complex. Once this is done, the administration may reject, combine, or partially use the material in future bids for the leases of the areas, according to the Development and Zoning Plan (PDZ) of the complex.
Furthermore, Rui Roberti, Commercial and Regulatory Manager of the Port Authority, emphasizes that the public call aims to promote transparency throughout the process of seeking new investments in infrastructure for the location and “is a corollary of a glorious moment for the Port of Imbituba, as the technical, economic, and environmental feasibility studies are the trigger for promoting the port leasing process. New leases are synonymous with more jobs, increased cargo, investments, and development.”
The Port of Imbituba is already developing leasing processes for the TCG and TECON/Santos Brasil; TERFER/Fertisanta and TIEGS/CRB-Votorantim areas, in addition to TGL/Fertisanta, and is now seeking to expand these numbers to attract even more capital investments in the infrastructure of the complex over the next few years.
