Details About the Construction of the New Storage Terminal at Suape Port
The new terminal at Suape Port will feature a storage infrastructure unit of 90 thousand cubic meters, as well as the installation of pipelines to move the raw material and make logistics connections. The difference lies in the technology, unprecedented in Brazil, where the gas is stored refrigerated, occupying a reduced volume that allows for an increased storage capacity. The forecast is that the terminal, covering 60 thousand square meters, will handle around 1.5 million tons of LPG annually.
Paulo Câmara emphasizes that the new LPG terminal will generate jobs and income, and it is another essential infrastructure hub for the state’s growth. He states that they are very confident that, even with the pandemic, they will manage to advance and continue making Pernambuco an increasingly better place to invest, with good jobs and quality of life.

Partnership of Companies for the Construction of the Project in the State of Pernambuco
The structure of Suape Port, in the state of Pernambuco, is a partnership between Nacional Gás, part of the Edson Queiroz Group, and Liquigás and Copagaz, part of Copa Energia, aimed at ensuring supply to the Northeast region, which currently has a stock of only four days.
Carlos Rotella, president of the Edson Queiroz Group, states that there is already a previous investment in Pernambuco, and they have now decided to diversify. Carlos mentions that they will operate in the infrastructure sector, starting with port infrastructure. This is a great opportunity to invest in storage, given the modernization and review of the LPG supply model by Petrobras, says the president of the Edson Queiroz Group.
Pedro Turqueto, vice president of Copa Energia, states that the company, with the acquisition of Liquigás, has become the largest player in Latin America for LPG and one of the main players in the Northeast. This investment is an important step to ensure supply to the region, as they will have a storage facility with greater capacity, guaranteeing long-term supply, concludes Pedro.
