Portugal Creates Special Visa To Attract Brazilian Professionals

In A Bid To Attract Skilled Labor, The Government Of Portugal Recently Created A Specific Visa To Attract Qualified Professionals From Outside The European Union.

Are You In The Information Technology (IT) Field Or Know Someone Who Is? Portugal Is Currently Experiencing A Recovery Phase, And One Of The Country’s Focus Areas Is The Promotion Of The Technology Sector, Which Has Received A Series Of Development Programs.

Portugal Created A Special Visa To Attract Professionals From This Field Who Are Not From European Union Territory, Called The Tech Visa. The Program, Which Was Officially Launched This Year, Aims To Reduce Bureaucracy And Expedite The Processes, Targeting IT Professionals From Brazil As One Of Its Main Audiences.

The Tech Visa Is Less Bureaucratic Than Other Work Visas, Starting With The Speed, As It Grants Access To An Accelerated Queue For Process Review.

Candidates Must Be Recruited By Companies That Have Joined The Program With The Portuguese Ministry Of Economy. Among The Criteria, They Are Required To Demonstrate That They Are Innovative And Have Growth Potential For External Markets As Well.

In The First Five Months Of Its Implementation, 85 Companies In Portugal Registered, And At Least Ten Others Are Under Review By The Portuguese Government.

According To Landing Jobs, A Company That Recruits Professionals In The Field For Companies Across Europe, Salaries Are Less Attractive Than In Other European Countries That Also Recruit, And Usually, In São Paulo, Which Is Also A Technological Hub, One Earns More. However, The Portuguese Quality Of Life Is Believed To Be A Factor In Attracting More Talent.

The IT Recruitment Platform Landing Jobs Announced In May The Launch Of A Campaign To Facilitate The Entry Of Technology Professionals From Brazil Into The Portuguese Job Market.

According To The Company, The Initiative Titled 30 Tech Visas Aimed To Help 30 Brazilian Specialists Find Job Opportunities In Portugal And Regularize Their Entry Into The European Country.

The Campaign Focused On Professionals Specialized In Back-end, Front-end, And Data Science. It Involved A Recruitment Process With Several Phases Of Skill Testing And Interviews.

At The End Of The Process, Landing Jobs Reports That The 30 Selected Individuals Received A Formal Job Offer, As Well As Assistance At Every Step To Obtain Their Work Visa For Portugal.
