Duplication Works of PR-317 Resumed With New Contractor and Delivery Forecast by the End of the Year
The Department of Highways of Paraná (DER/PR) announced the resumption of duplication works on the PR-317 highway, between Maringá and Iguaraçu. The new contractor responsible for the execution is Construtora Sanches Tripoloni Ltda., which is already carrying out other works for the agency in the state.
The duplication covers a stretch of 21.82 kilometers. The initial investment in this new phase is R$ 58.9 million. At this start, the company is mobilizing workers, equipment, and machinery. It is also making adjustments to the signage and repairs to the road to ensure more safety for drivers.
After this initial phase, the work will continue with the completion of paving and restoration of the road, implementation of the drainage system, construction of viaducts and pedestrian walkways, in addition to new signage and lighting. The expectation is that everything will be ready by the end of the year.

Construtora Sanches Tripoloni had previously participated in the original bidding for the project in 2021. Therefore, it could be contracted directly, without the need for a new bidding process. According to DER/PR, part of the previous contractor’s team may be reused.
The resumption occurs after the termination of the contract with the previous company. The decision was formalized on Thursday, the 22nd. According to DER/PR, there was a breach of contract clauses, such as the execution schedule and the quality of the services provided.
Adding the values of the original contract, the adjustments, and the new funding, over R$ 165 million have already been invested in the duplication of PR-317. The stretch is considered strategic for the flow of agricultural production and regional circulation.
