Pre-salt, a term increasingly present in debates about energy and economics, refers to the underground layers of oil located beneath extensive layers of salt, especially on the Brazilian coast.

The pre-salt discovery is one of the most significant in the modern oil industry. Located more than 1.500 meters beneath the sea surface, this geological layer contains vast reservoirs of oil and natural gas, hidden beneath a dense layer of salt. This phenomenon is not just a geological wonder, but also a historical landmark for oil exploration in Brazil and around the world.

Petroleum, often called black gold, is a complex mixture of hydrocarbons that formed from the remains of marine organisms millions of years ago. Pressure and temperature deep within the earth transformed this organic matter into petroleum, a source of primary energy and raw material for countless derivative products.

Where is the pre-salt and the role of Brazil

Pre-salt exploration is a saga of technology and innovation. These layers, formed more than 100 million years ago due to the separation of the South American and African continents, represent a unique challenge. Exploration requires cutting-edge technology to drill through miles of salt, facing extreme pressures and corrosive environments.

Brazil, through Petrobras, has become a global leader in pre-salt exploration. The discovery of vast oil reserves in this layer placed the country on the world map of oil producers, contributing significantly to the national economy. Pre-salt exploration not only increased Brazil's oil production, but also fostered technological advances in the industry.

Pre-salt exploration involves overcoming enormous technical challenges

The industry has developed specific technologies for this purpose, such as floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) platforms, advanced drilling systems and cutting-edge seismic techniques to map oil reserves.

The pre-salt not only transformed Brazil into an energy powerhouse, but also had a significant impact on the global oil market. By ensuring robust and sustainable oil production, the pre-salt helps stabilize global oil prices and promotes energy security.

The pre-salt journey is more than a story oil exploration; It is a testimony to the human spirit and the incessant search for innovation and overcoming limits. The pre-salt legacy for Brazil and the world is immense, promising to continue to be a key pillar for sustainable energy development in the future.

Pre-salt really exists! However, this theme was only seen in the current government. The rulers prior to 07 years ago more or less. Nobody heard about this subject. Let's put this into practice people!!!👷🏾‍♀️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Hi Joelson. Lack of reading friend, the Pre-Salt has been explored since 2006, discovered during the first term of the Lula government.

Since the oil crisis in 1975, Petrobrás began studies on the “pre-salt”. Little by little they accumulated data and developed technology for the exploration and exploitation of oil at great depths. Lula knew how to take political advantage of Petrobras' success (opportunistic, as always).

Lula and the PT saved Petrobras from FHC's Privataria. If it weren't for the blunt defense of the PT bench, they would have roasted Petrobras just as they roasted Vale. The rest is bullshit.

The pre-salt was the work of the military government that believed in and invested in research and the result appeared at the end of the mandate of Fernando Enrique Cardoso, Lula and that reaped the fruit of more than 25 years of research

It happened with biodispel that research began with Arão in the government of General Figueiredo with a Bahian researcher eradicated in SP, of whom the PT was the biggest critic of this research

My friend, you are very misinformed, the military rulers only brought destruction to our country, they left a huge debt with the IMF and at the end of the government of the shitty João Batista Figueiredo, Brazil was broke and devastated by hunger and the misery that ravaged our country.

Keep dreaming... The FHC period was one of wild privatization. The most surrendering government in history. They served Vele on a tray and wanted to offer Petrobras for dessert. Wake up!!

There are those who believe what you say! Fernando Henrique and his son-in-law Zirbstein wanted to privatize Petrobras as Petrobax

The pre-salt was detected around 2005/6 and began to be studied with prospecting during Lula's second term and continued during Dilma's. It began to be handed over to foreign companies under Temer and continued under Bolsonaro.

Yes, pre-salt is the biggest source of income in Brazil and provides a lot of employment for its citizens.

YOU KNOW THE TRUTH, WE LIVE IN A COUNTRY **** OF POLITICIANS AND GOVERNORS, BRAZIL IS RICH IN OIL, BUT OUR RICH PRE-SALT IS DISTRIBUTED TO COUNTRIES THAT PAY IN DOLLARS, SO THE LOSS IS OURS.
IN SHORT THESE **** DON'T PLAY AT WORK.
