The Price Of Gasoline At The Pumps Is In Constant Change Since July, While Ethanol Has Seen Several Increases

And the price instability of gasoline continues. Now, in this month of December, the average price of fuel has decreased for the fifth consecutive month, now standing at R$ 5.27 per liter. Compared to November, the price of gasoline at the pumps had a reduction of 1.06%.

Since July, gasoline prices at the pumps have been “uncertain,” as it was in this same month that the price of fuel experienced its first decrease. In contrast, the price at the ethanol pumps shows an average price of R$ 4.31 per liter, an increase of 0.61%.

Even with this increase, according to information from Edenred Brazil, responsible for the IPTL, ethanol is still cheaper than gasoline at the pumps; however, although the difference is considerable, it is still advantageous to refuel with gasoline.
