April starts with great news for those looking for job opportunities in the Marvelous City. The City Hall of Rio de Janeiro, through the Municipal Secretary of Labor and Income (SMTE), has announced the opening of 997 job positions available for candidates with and without disabilities.
This initiative reinforces the city hall’s commitment to promote employment and support the local economy.
Highlighted Opportunities in Supermarkets
Among the announced positions, the imminent hiring of 70 supermarket operators stands out, spread across various neighborhoods in the city. These opportunities are aimed at candidates with a high school diploma and at least six months of experience in the field, making it an unmissable chance for many professionals to restart their careers.

People without internet access can register in person at one of the seven Central Worker offices at the following addresses: Downtown (Av. Presidente Vargas, 1,997, in CIAD); Campo Grande (Rua Coxilha, s/nº); Engenho Novo (Rua Vinte Quatro de Maio, 931); Ilha do Governador (Estrada do Dendê, 2,080); Jacarepaguá (Av. Geremário Dantas, 1,400, rooms 172 and 173); Santa Cruz (Rua Lopes de Moura, 58) and Tijuca (Rua Camaragibe, 25). The offices operate from 8 am to 4 pm.
Candidates must bring RG, CPF, PIS, and a resume to register. People with disabilities have the option to send their resume to the email vagaspcd.smte@gmail.com or to visit the CIAD, a reference in seeking and providing job opportunities for people with disabilities in the municipality.
