Electric Hypercar Delivers 1,225 Horsepower
The electric car, presented at the Shanghai Auto Show 2023, began to be sold shortly after, and now the first units are arriving to buyers. However, we will get to know the battery-powered supercar better, which promises performance equivalent to a Rimac Nevera, which costs the equivalent of R$ 12 million.
In this case, compared to the NEVERA, the Chinese electric hypercar is a ‘bargain’. GAC Aion is a manufacturer of the GAC group that focuses exclusively on electric cars. The brand produces and sells various models, including the latest in the lineup, called Hyper SSR (Super Sport Race), which is built on a new generation 900-volt platform, with a system efficiency of 94.5%.

The new GAC electric supercar is available in 2 versions, namely Hyper SSR and Hyper SSR Ultimate. The models differ in some aesthetic details, equipment, and above all performance.
Both are equipped with three electric motors arranged one at the front and two at the rear (Tesla Model S Plaid style), in the more powerful version, the powertrain delivers 1,225 hp and 12,000 Nm of torque, enough to reach a top speed of over 270 km/h.
Electric Supercar Enters The Automotive Market With Prices Starting At R$ 891 Thousand
Equipped with a sleek carbon fiber body, the car reflects the proportions of a classic thermal sports car with a mid-engine.
The Electric Hypercar from GAC has a front spoiler and rear extractor, and among its peculiarities, doors that open like an elytra, somewhat like the Lamborghini with a 12-cylinder engine, to put it in perspective.
For sale, for now only in China, the model costs 166,350 euros, equivalent to R$ 891 thousand in direct conversion, in the SRR version and 218 thousand euros, equivalent to R$ 1.170 million, in the SSR Ultimate version.
These are numbers that leave anyone pale, considering that currently, for an electric car with equivalent performance, whether a Lotus with the Evija or Rimac with the Nevera or Pininfarina with the Battista, one needs to consider nothing less than 2 million euros. At least, until Elon Musk decides to greenlight the new Tesla Roadster.
New Electric Sports Car Offers 431 Hp
Xiaomi has announced its first product that has just arrived and it is not a smartphone. It is the SSC SC-01, an electric sports car, however with characteristics of classic combustion models. The model weighs only 1,370 kg due to its tubular steel chassis.
Therefore, the 431 horsepower and all-wheel drive provided by the two electric motors are enough to take Xiaomi’s electric car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. The batteries of Xiaomi’s model have a capacity of 60 kWh, with a declared range of 520 km and charging from 30 to 80% done in 25 minutes.
