According to Petrobras, more than 300 companies registered for the second notice of the Petrobras Connections for Innovation program – Startups Module. The notice, in partnership with Sebrae, brought 54 challenges from nine different technological areas.

According to the statement, the presentation of the startups to the evaluation panel, formed by Petrobras executives, will be held virtually. The state-owned company also states that it will seek to enable the continuity of development with the implementation of field tests, through a pilot batch or pioneering service for the winning projects that are successfully completed.

“As part of the development of the innovation ecosystem, we are connecting with startups to accelerate innovation within Petrobras, seeking creative ideas that can contribute to achieving solutions that generate value for the company,” says the Director of Digital Transformation and Innovation at Petrobras, Nicolás Simone.

The companies selected in July, in the first phase of Petrobras’ notice for startups, received, for two months, mentoring from specialists from the company and Sebrae, as well as support and training for the pitches this week, from where the major winners will emerge.

Petrobras says that the forecast is for the list of winners to be announced next 30th.
