Competition Groups and Selection Stages of the Federal Institute
The 2025 selection process of the Federal Institute of the Southeast MG follows the new Quota Law (Law 14.273/2023), which reserves 50% of the spots for students who have studied in public schools, with income criteria, ethnic-racial self-declaration, and disability. The selection method varies by course: for concomitant or subsequent technical courses, the class definition occurs through a public draw on January 16, 2025. Those opting for integrated technical courses will have an objective test on December 22, covering questions in Portuguese language, mathematics, natural sciences, geography, and history. Candidates for undergraduate courses will take an objective test and an essay on the same date.
