The Becas Santander program, which funds scholarships for free online courses with certificates at foreign universities, has opened applications for different types of short-term training, which will be conducted in partnership with MIT and the universities of Pennsylvania and Chicago. There are several free courses on digital business, machine learning, marketing, languages, and entrepreneurship. It is worth noting that all opportunities from the Santander program come with completion certificates.

Those who wish to improve their English can apply for one of the scholarships from English to Boost Your Career, which is focused on non-native speakers and professional development.

Organized by the University of Pennsylvania, the free courses will last only five weeks. Classes will be offered in an online format with asynchronous and synchronous activities and a weekly workload of 8 to 10 hours. To enroll, it is necessary to access the program’s website from Santander, in partnership with foreign universities and MIT, by November 23.

The free courses are aimed at preparing students for the job market, including cover letters, essay writing, networking skills, career planning, and interview preparation.

Upon registering, students can choose from the following free courses:

  • English for Professional Development
  • English for Business and Entrepreneurship
  • English for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics

It is important to note that a minimum knowledge of English at the B1 level is required.

Explore Free Courses from Santander at the University of Chicago

The Santander Technologies program includes free online courses focused on new management models and technologies. The training is aimed at problem-solving and handling tools to create impactful actions.

The free courses from Santander will last seven weeks, with six weeks dedicated to studies and one for handing in assignments, requiring a workload of five to eight hours per week.

Applications for the University of Chicago will be open until December 15. The program will begin on February 22 of next year and will extend until April 22 of the same year. Courses offered to candidates include:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Data Science for Managers
  • Creating and Managing Resilient Teams
  • Fintechs
  • Digital Marketing
