Opportunity includes 3.174 vacancies with applications open until May 8 for doctors with or without a national CRM
The Federal Government has announced the opening of 3.174 vacancies in the new job vacancy announcement for the Mais Médicos Program, with attractive salaries, incentives for qualification and the possibility of working in the most strategic regions of Brazil. Applications are open between May 5 and 8, with opportunities in all Brazilian states, including in indigenous and remote areas.
Selection process for Mais Médicos
The new selection process for the Mais Médicos Program was launched on May 5, 2025 and ends on the 8th. The selection process includes three types of professionals: doctors trained in Brazil with an active CRM, Brazilian doctors trained abroad, and qualified foreign doctors. For the latter two, approval in the Reception and Assessment Module (MAAv) is required. The training aims to prepare professionals for urgent, emergency situations, and the most common diseases in the regions served.
In addition to registrations, the Ministry of Health also provides for the possibility of reservation registration. This alternative ensures agility in filling future vacancies, allowing municipalities and Indigenous Health Districts to request new doctors as the need arises, without having to open a new notice.

Job vacancy for the Mais Médicos Program – ALL OVER BRAZIL
This job opening under the Mais Médicos Program will be distributed across 1.620 municipalities and 26 Special Indigenous Health Districts, reinforcing care in areas of greater social vulnerability. The main focus is to expand access to primary care through Family Health teams, ensuring continuous and humanized care for the population.
The selected professionals will work directly with the e-SUS APS (Electronic Medical Record), ensuring patient monitoring from primary care to referrals to specialists. This integration between different levels of care is essential to speed up diagnoses, optimize care and offer a more complete health service to the population.
About the More Doctors Program
Created to reduce inequalities in access to health, the Mais Médicos Program already provides assistance to more than 63 millions of Brazilians. Since its launch, the program has operated in more than 4.200 municipalities, which represents approximately 77% of the national territory. In December 2024, it broke a record with 601 doctors working in the Special Indigenous Health Districts.
With a total of 24,9 doctors currently working, the goal is to reach 28 professionals throughout Brazil. The program also offers continuing education for participants, with the possibility of specialization, master's and doctorate in Family Health, making this job vacancy an excellent gateway for doctors who wish to work and grow in the public health network.
In addition to serving the population, Mais Médicos reinforces the commitment with the strengthening of Primary Care and the integration of medical care in the SUS. According to Minister Alexandre Padilha, this initiative is strategic to bring professionals closer to the neediest regions and, at the same time, improve the quality of care.
Job requirements
To participate in the selection process, candidates must fit into at least one of three profiles: doctors with an active Brazilian CRM, doctors trained abroad or foreign doctors. In the case of professionals without national registration, approval in the MAAv module is mandatory. The dedication is full-time, working in Basic Health Units on a full-time basis.
Vacancy benefits
In addition to the monthly salary compatible with the values practiced in federal programs, the position guarantees benefits such as housing assistance, food assistance, round-trip airfare in some cases, and access to continuing education with postgraduate courses. Professionals in remote areas can also receive additional incentives for staying.
How to apply
Applications for the Mais Médicos job vacancy announcement must be made exclusively by Internet, on the program's official website, between May 5 and 8, 2025. To register, candidates must fill out a form with personal data, professional profile and region of interest. Those who choose locations with greater social vulnerability may benefit from extra incentives.
After registering, candidates will undergo documentation analysis and, if applicable, the Reception and Assessment Module. The list of approved candidates and the call for selection of vacancies will be published later on the same website. It is important to follow the complete schedule so as not to miss any stage.
