Opportunity Offers 3,174 Positions with Open Applications Until May 8 for Doctors With or Without National CRM

The Federal Government announced the opening of 3,174 positions in the new job announcement for the More Doctors Program, with attractive salaries, qualification incentives, and the possibility of working in the most strategic regions of Brazil. Applications are open between May 5 and May 8, with opportunities in all Brazilian states, including in indigenous and remote areas.

Selection Process of the More Doctors Program

The new selection process for the More Doctors Program was launched on May 5, 2025, and ends on the 8th. The selection includes three profiles of professionals: doctors trained in Brazil with an active CRM, Brazilian doctors trained abroad, and qualified foreign doctors. For the latter two, approval in the Reception and Evaluation Module (MAAv) is required. The training aims to prepare professionals for urgent care, emergencies, and the most common diseases in the regions served.

In addition to the applications, the Ministry of Health also anticipates the possibility of reserve registration. This alternative ensures agility in replacing future vacancies, allowing municipalities and Indigenous Health Districts to request new doctors as the need arises, without relying on the opening of a new notice.

Job Vacancy of the More Doctors Program – ACROSS BRAZIL

This job vacancy for the More Doctors Program will be distributed across 1,620 municipalities and 26 Special Indigenous Health Districts, reinforcing care in areas with greater social vulnerability. The main focus is to expand access to primary care through Family Health teams, ensuring continuous and humane care for the population.

The selected professionals will work directly with e-SUS APS (Electronic Medical Record), ensuring patient follow-up from basic care to referrals to specialties. This integration between different levels of care is essential for accelerating diagnoses, optimizing care, and providing a more comprehensive health service to the population.

About the More Doctors Program

Created to reduce inequalities in access to healthcare, the More Doctors Program already provides assistance to over 63 million Brazilians. Since its launch, the program has been active in more than 4,200 municipalities, representing about 77% of the national territory. In December 2024, it reached a record with 601 doctors working in Special Indigenous Health Districts.

With a total of 24,900 doctors currently active, the goal is to reach 28,000 professionals across Brazil. The program also offers continuing education for participants, with the possibility of specialization, master’s, and doctorate in Family Health, making this job vacancy an excellent entry point for doctors who want to work and grow in the public health system.

In addition to serving the population, the More Doctors Program reinforces the commitment to strengthening Primary Care and integrating medical care in SUS. According to Minister Alexandre Padilha, this initiative is strategic for bringing professionals closer to the most underserved regions while improving care quality.

Requirements for the Position

To participate in the selection process, candidates must fit at least one of the three profiles: doctors with an active Brazilian CRM, doctors trained abroad, or foreign doctors. For professionals without national registration, approval in the MAAv module is mandatory. The dedication is full-time, with work in Basic Health Units on a full-time schedule.

Benefits of the Position

In addition to a monthly salary compatible with values practiced in federal programs, the position guarantees benefits such as housing allowance, food allowance, round-trip airfare in some cases, and access to continuing education with graduate courses. Professionals in remote areas may also receive additional retention incentives.

How to Apply

Applications for the job announcement of the More Doctors Program must be made exclusively through the internet, on the official program portal, between May 5 and May 8, 2025. To apply, candidates must fill out a form with personal data, professional profile, and region of interest. Those who choose locations with greater social vulnerability may be eligible for additional incentives.

After application, candidates will undergo document analysis and, as applicable, the realization of the Reception and Evaluation Module. The list of approved candidates and the call for choosing positions will be announced later on the same website. It is important to keep track of the complete schedule to not miss any stage.
